On behalf of Nabweekly we thank you for your recognition to Ron's article. He has taken a shine to the beauty and talent of art especially when it depicts time in history we around the world should never forget in hopes it never repeats itself.

Your artistic talent brought tears to his eyes as viewing it knowing the horrors felt was so well defined through your eyes.

Thank you again for sharing your work, thoughts, talents and passion

I met you all there on Saturday, and as I told you, I appreciate all the work you've done to bring the Troubles to the attention of the world, and I hope that I was not the only one drawn in by not only your art, but talking to you Kevin, and hearing your presentation, Tom.

I think what struck me the most was how...personal it was. Not just the work, but your lives and experiences. To read about it is one thing, to hear about it from those who experienced it was incredibly powerful. You do great work, and I hope that you will come back to America someday (or I can make enough money to fly to Ireland!)

And what you say at the end of this post is true. As a history major, I know that "those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it". Count me as one more person who will not forget the Troubles or your work and add my testimonial to the town!

DAVID DINNING (Poet)

 The Bogside Artists

Derry is calling me

Hill after hill

Cool crisp mornings

The sun, the sun breaks through

Pain gave way to hope

River Foyle has seen it all

And the walls they know

Bogside, Waterside

Time to live, get on

Kids running playing

Remember don't forget, but go back

It's done, been done, a new day

Hope, hope for us all

Courageous souls lighting the way

Tom, Kevin, Will

Pain more pain, their eyes have seen

Living, loving through it all

Death came calling, hate not far behind

Put on down, see past it all

There is hope in Derry

Hope for us all

I am looking forward to meeting you at the Maryland Irish Festival November 13th.

The murals made me stop and think. "Why does it say Free Derry? Who are those people. Does the kid in the gas mask seem matter of fact? Would the mask work? Why am I asking questions about gas masks, what kind of world do we live in?

I talked about them nonstop for a year until people ran from me.

Love the first book. Looking forward to The People's Gallery.

On my first real visit to Derry where I stayed for a few days we had a most wonderful time. Having expored all the walls, the churches, the taxi tour we then came on the peoples gallery. This was a wonderful experience and we spent some time talking to the artists who explained in detail why they had decided to do these wonderful murals. The introductary film set the scene for us and explained the ideas behind the murals. This visit is a must for all who visit this historical city. I am looking forward to having the poster framed and hanging it in the centre and using it as a conversation point for all our visitors. We will direct people from here as it is a most worthwhile visit.

My daughter and I visited The People's Gallery last week and had the honor to speak at some length with Mr. Kevin Hasson. We gained considerable insight into a situation that had been reported from a very skewed perspective. I purchased a copy of Travels With Li Po and read it on our return flight. It is an awesome read and I would like to purchase at least two additional copies for family members. Can you advise me on availability and procedure? Thanks to Kevin, Tom and William.
